Temporary staff, available at short notice
Cover for seasonal peaks, unplanned absence, go-lives and month-end crunch. Screened, work-ready people on our payroll, often on site within days.
The gap is short. The disruption does not have to be.
Some gaps do not justify a hiring process. Someone is out for six weeks. A go-live needs double the support desk for a month. Open enrolment triples the claims queue every autumn. Year-end close needs three extra pairs of hands and then does not.
Temporary staffing covers exactly that. We maintain a pool of screened, referenced people who are available at short notice and used to arriving mid-stream, and we can usually place someone within two to five business days.
They work under your direction on your site or remotely, but they remain our employees. Payroll, statutory contributions, insurance and timesheets are ours to manage.
- Placement often within 2–5 business days
- One day to several months
- Onsite, hybrid or fully remote
- Extend or end with short notice
When clients call us for temporary cover
Absence cover
Medical leave, parental leave, sabbatical or a resignation with no notice, in roles that cannot simply pause.
Seasonal peaks
Open enrolment, tax season, year-end close, academic intake, retail and holiday volume.
Go-live support
Hypercare after a system launch, when ticket volume spikes for four to eight weeks and then returns to normal.
Data and migration work
Data entry, cleansing, validation and reconciliation tasks that are finite but too large for the existing team.
Events and campaigns
Conferences, product launches, recruitment drives and audits that need short bursts of coordinated support.

From call to on site
Same-day requirement call
We take the role, the site, the hours, the start date and any access or clearance constraints. If we cannot meet the date, we say so on that call.
Match from the available pool
We go first to people already screened, referenced and available — which is what makes a two-to-five day start realistic.
Confirmation and compliance
Right-to-work verification, any required background screening and the assignment paperwork completed before the first shift.
Briefed arrival
The temporary employee arrives knowing the site, the reporting line, the systems and what they are expected to produce in week one.
Timesheets and extension
Weekly timesheets approved by your supervisor, a single invoice, and a simple process to extend or end the assignment as the workload changes.
Temporary staffing questions
How fast can someone start?
For common roles, two to five business days. Roles needing specific clearance, certification or system access take longer, and we will give you a realistic date at the first call rather than an optimistic one.
What is the minimum assignment length?
We cover assignments from a single day upward, though most run from two weeks to three months.
Who supervises the temporary employee?
You direct the day-to-day work. We remain the employer of record and handle pay, statutory contributions, insurance and any employment issues that arise.
Can a temporary assignment become permanent?
Yes. If someone works out well, we can convert the assignment to contract-to-hire or direct hire terms. Talk to your account manager and we will set out the conversion cost before you make an offer.
